JOAN LEVERING

Joan Levering graduated from Chester – Franklin High School in Morrow County and attended Ashland University. Her first job after high school was a secretarial position as the Assistant Sales Manager with Sun Glow Industries, Fredericktown, Ohio, manufacturing solid maple furniture. From there to Ashland University and then to Hydraulic Press Manufacturing in Morrow County in the Sales Office. She later married Bruce Levering, and they ventured into the Health Care Profession. She was a stay-at-home mom for one girl and three boys, many pets, horses and ponies, tractors and a show string of Holstein Cattle that she and her husband helped the children show at many county and state fairs, as well as national shows. She decided to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and was in the first group in the State of Ohio to sit for the exam. She was the Administrator of Hillcrest Nursing Center, a 50-bed skilled rehabilitation facility in Richland County, for 38 years. Her daughter, Cindi Levering, is a Corporate Nurse Practitioner for Levering Management; her son William Levering is the CEO of Levering Management, Mount Vernon; Kenneth Levering is the Administrator of Delaware Court Healthcare Center in Delaware, Ohio. Son, Jeff Levering, is our Farm Manager and General Manager of Leve-Agriman Feed Company in Fredericktown. Joan has twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren to round out her life with many sporting events!
