May Activities: The Living Center

2 minutes estimated reading time

There’s so much to love about May, so no wonder it went by so fast! We had a lovely time celebrating holidays, birthdays, and more this past month at the Living Center. Are you curious about what we’ve been up to? Keep reading to find out!

On the first Wednesday of the month, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a special lunch! This holiday is important to many of our residents, commemorating the Mexican army’s victory over the French in 1862. We had a great time chowing down on some delicious Mexican food with our seniors. We can’t wait to celebrate and make memories again next year!

We kept the celebrations coming on the following Sunday! We loved giving thanks to all mothers inside and outside our facility. Many of our residents enjoyed the church service led by Pastor Brad Ham in our activity room. We could not have had a better day surrounded by all of the remarkable residents in our community.

Although holidays are fun, we have a blast at The Living Center every day with games like balloon volleyball, “What is It?” (a sensory game designed to promote cognitive abilities and problem-solving), and Phase 10! From unique, creative game choices to well-known classics, our activities planners know how to keep things interesting around here!

Has learning about some of our activities made you curious about what else we’ve been up to this month? If so, please check out our activities calendar on our website, and stay updated by following us on facebook. We look forward to making more memories next month!
